Cardiac First Response (CFR)

First Aid Response (FAR)
Formerly known as Occupational First Aid — the workplace standard recognised by the HSE, HSA & Tusla. Covers CPR/AED, injury management, and a full range of medical emergencies.
FAR Refresher
Required every 2 years to keep your FAR certification current. For anyone with a valid FAR cert due for renewal.
Brendan Coady
Advanced Paramedic Tutor, National Ambulance Service
ETS (Emerald Training Services) was established by Brendan Coady in late 2025, in response to requests from people wanting to run first aid courses. An Advanced Paramedic with over 8 years of front-line emergency service experience with the National Ambulance Service, Brendan has experience in dealing with all aspects of traumatic and medical emergencies as well as mentoring student paramedics along the way.
As well as a CFR, CFR-Advanced, FAR & EFR instructor, he also holds a PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) Assistant Tutor status.
Taught by someone who still works the job.
Every course is led personally by Brendan — training is grounded in real front-line experience, not delivered purely from a manual.

ETS Services are affiliated with Medicore Medical Services which are a PHECC Approved Training Institution. On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a First Aid Response certification which will be valid for two years.
